Peter Boyce Retires As Senior Coach

Sadly for the club Peter Boyce has announced he is stepping down as senior coach for this season. Pete's growing work commitments has meant he is unable to commit the time he has done previously. Pete will be staying involved with the club however, playing reserve grade where possible and organizing this years quiz night.
One behalf of us all Pete, thanks for all your efforts over the past three seasons.

The club is calling for applicants to fill the role of senior coach for season 2007. We would like an experienced person with a level 1 AFL coaching accreditation. Please email me before the club's AGM if you are interested (refer to the contacts section of the web site).

Guys I've been made aware already of several guys planning to retire or have a reduced involvement with the club this season. For this reason we really need to amp up the recruitment drive starting now. Try to get your mates along from rugby, league or soccer to have a go at Aussies Rules. We also need as many senior players as possible to help (keep playing if possible) and develop our new recruits. If you know of any experienced AFL players out there do your best to get them along to our club.

New Club Sponsor

The funds provided by RS Components will fund the sigh writing of our new trailer as well as help fund phyiso and medical kit costs for this season. Club AGM
Wednesday 28th March 6.30pm at Kenny's Bar & Grill. Note, it's a bit earlier than normal to avoid Kenny's Quiz night. Please note that this is an important AGM as we need to discuss the new senior coach appointment, nominate office bearers for 2007, make final arrangements for the golf day and get the quiz night arrangements underway.

Club Golf Day Sunday 1st April Hellinsville
Guys I only have about 16 confirmed at this stage for the golf day. They are: BJ, Pete Jansen, Matua Jason, David Jansen, BJ's mate, Jarrad Wallace, Steve Fairweather, Bjorn Guttenbeil, Chris Newlove, Chris's Dad, Anthony Newlove, Wes Allen, Wes's mate, Greg Cairns, Paul Munt, Marcus Jones and Craig Eddie Edwards. If anyone else has replied and is not on the list please let me know.

We need at least 30 to make hiring the bus worthwhile. Please get back to me this week. The golf day is a week from this coming Sunday and we need to confirm tee off times and the bus booking. Refer to earlier web site postings for further info.

Taggy's House Warming
