Reserve Grade
Our young reserves grade team continued there wining ways with a comfortable win over The Tigers. The team’s unique preparation methods are proving to be a winner despite creating a few extra grey hairs for the coach and team manager. The boys are really enjoying their football and it is showing out on the field.
Billy Bedford starred in defence with his game awareness proving vital and saving many goals. Up in the mid-field Chris Hilder, Grayson Hart and Ian Graham all did well drifting forward also to score many goals.
Another huge step up for the lads this Sunday and we are all looking forward to seeing how the team measures up against the top team at the end of the home and away season.

Seniors
The senior team knew they would have to be at there very best to beat a very strong and experienced Tigers line up. Unfortunately we were far from it. Injury and unavailability robbed the team of their best line up however we all expected a better effort on Sunday.
Marcus Jones and Adam Brunt stood out for the Saints. Marcus gave 100 percent all day and Adam continued his fine form from the previous week.
Inaccuracy proved costly for the Saints who at one stage had scored 2 goals 17 behinds.
A couple of ugly incidents throughout the game also cost the Saints dearly and look to have ended the playing career of Steve Fairweather. Everyone at the club wishes Steve a speedy recovery.
Injuries throughout the game meant limited options up forward and a general lack of flexibility with a very limited bench.
The Tigers however deserve their chance to have a crack at Uni in what should be a great game this Sunday.

Saints coach Ian Francis has decided to call it quits after two seasons in charge of the senior team. Ian has done an outstanding job developing a great group of young players in his time as coach. Unfortunately injuries, retirements and guys moving overseas have robbed the team of a lot of good players and perhaps a chance to progress further than they have.
The club would like to thank Ian for all his efforts over the past two seasons and look forward to his ongoing involvement with the club
